The last month of Summer has arrived, now more than ever is the perfect time to make some memories and create some amazing pieces with friends and family. So, this August add some colour to your home or garden with a custom painted flower pot! This month’s box includes several bottles of DecoArt acrylic craft paint, brushes, a palette a white charcoal pencil, a black permanent marker, and of course a flower pot.
Wondering how you begin painting your flower pot, don’t worry it’s very simple! First and foremost, make sure to wash your pot to get rid of any dirt, dust or grime that may have been left on it. Next, we recommend setting up a work area, lay down some newsprint, or paper to protect the surfaces you’ll be painting your pot on. Optionally, you can paint a base coat on your pot, let it dry and then hop right in! A base coat helps to keep a uniform background colour when you’re painting.Additionally before painting, or after your base coat is dry you can use a General’s White Charcoal Pencil provided in the box to plan out your design!
