Clay Leaf Wall Hanging
Make a clay leaf wall hanging by following this simple tutorial!
Make a clay leaf wall hanging by following this simple tutorial!
1. Grab your DAS air dry clay and grab a small amount and roll it out to about 5mm in thickness. It doesn't have to be perfect as this will leave our leaves with some texture and variation.
2. Use a utility blade to cut your leaf shape out and add the veins to the leaf! Repeat these steps and continue to cut out different shaped leaves. I also added in a ghost and a pumpkin shape, along with 6 leaves.
3. Use the end of a paint brush, or pottery tool to poke a hole through the top of your clay pieces so we can hang them later.
4. Now, mix your colours to paint your pieces! I chose a variation of oranges and greens.
5. Go on an adventure for a stick or branch that we'll hang these from using string.
6. Now tie each leaf from, the branch at various lengths. I added 2 leaves onto some string to take up some more space.
7. Find a place to hang and enjoy your new fall diy!
